Homestudy & Online CE Options

Attending a live education program should always be your first choice. If you are unable to attend a live class, PAAR also offers a variety of both Elective and CORE Home Study and Online CE Classes.

Code of Ethics Requirements

Realtors® required to complete Ethics Training for Third Cycle - Deadline December 31, 2012.

Between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2012, every Realtor® is required to complete 2 1/2 hours of Code of Ethics Training. The NAR policy requires that Realtors® take ethics training within given four-year cycles and continue to update their education in successive four-year periods thereafter. Failure to comply with this required ethics training is a violation of a membership duty for which the member's primary association will suspend membership until the training is complete.

PAAR offers Ethics Training throughout the year which will satisfy not only the Ethics requirement but also qualify for Elective CE Hours. See the PAAR Education Calendar of Events below for more info.

Pre-Licensing

Salesperson Pre-License Courses are available online. Click Here to get started! Once you complete the online training, the test will be proctored by PAAR. Upon passing the exam, you will be eligible to take the state exam in Springfield. If you prefer a live class, a list of classes being held in the State of Illinois can be obtained by going to the Illinois Association of REALTORS® website and click on the Education link.

Broker Pre-Licensing Courses are offered annually at PAAR beginning in the Fall. The course consists of four live classes and one home study that is purchased through the instructor. Each class takes two full days (9AM-5PM) to complete. Upon completion of all five components, you will be eligible to take the State Broker’s exam.
